Satarupa Gupta is an actor, dancer, singer and theatre professional. She has had a formal education in acting and theatre making. She has received her Bachelor's degree in theatre from Christ University in Bangalore and her Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the UK. She trained in Bharatnatyam under the tutelage of Guru Ashok Kunar and has performed in numerous shows and plays across Bangalore and Bristol.
