Casa Balustrade is a lived-in, two-flat family house in Bengaluru with a heritage-style facade: white balustrade balconies, maroon scalloped awnings, bamboo blinds and a black steel external staircase that climbs to a covered rooftop terrace. Inside are two separate flats with very different looks. Flat 1 is bright and contemporary, with cream walls, a cove-lit ceiling, a family living room, TV wall and an arched study-cum-dining corner. Flat 2 is warm and classic, with wood-panelled walls, carved display units, a ship-wheel clock, a long maroon balustrade balcony with planters, and an orange-and-white modular kitchen with a serving hatch to the dining area.
